Important Messages to Health Program Applicants

As health care providers, the primary professional obligation is service to the public. Patients have the right to expect and receive quality care regardless of their circumstance and medical condition. All health care students at RCCC will be expected to adhere to this philosophy.

Infection control guidelines and training have been developed to protect the student and the patient from disease transmission. All students will be expected to attend training and adhere to the program guidelines.

Nursing and Radiography clinical training experiences may be scheduled for day, evening, or weekend shifts depending on the clinical rotation. Clinical training may take place at various locations in Rowan or Cabarrus counties – this may involve additional driving time and travel expense.

Dental clinical training experiences are Monday-Thursday with no evenings or weekends. Clinical training may take place at various locations in nearby counties – this may involve additional driving time and travel expense.

Students who are not lawfully admitted to the United States may not be issued a license by the state regulatory board for your program of study. Please check with the appropriate state licensing agency if you have questions about your ability to qualify for state licensing.
