Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s mission is to provide training and development opportunities for individuals, businesses and industries in Rowan and Cabarrus counties.  We offer training based on industry requests, workforce development, and economic development.  Our goal is to help local businesses remain competitive in their fields by providing their existing and prospective employees access to the most current training available.

The state-wide Customized Training Program is designed to react quickly to the needs of local businesses.  Course content includes practical hands-on experience that is customized for employees who need to become more productive in the shortest time possible.   The training services we provide can include needs assessments and consultations for the design and delivery of targeted, customized training.  For eligibility information, please refer to the

Small Business Center

The Small Business Center Network, comprised of 58 Small Business Centers throughout North Carolina, supports the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses by being a community-based provider of training, counseling, an resource information.

Two-hour free seminar sessions are offered year-round to help small businesses be successful. Experienced counselors serve as advisors and sounding boards for ideas and concerns you may have about your business. They will help you find solutions to your challenging business questions. There is no charge for this service.
