The
Nurse Aide I program is designed to teach fundamental skills
required of health care professionals. A U.S. high school
diploma (or the equivalent) is required for this class. The length
of the program is approximately 139 hours (16 weeks). After successful
completion of this program, students are eligible to take the
N.C. Division of Health Service Regulation Nurse Aide Registry
Exam. The registry listing is required to be employed by hospitals,
long-term facilities, and home health agencies. Nurse Aide I
is a prerequisite for Nurse Aide II, Practical Nursing Program
and Nursing Degree Program. Classes are taught days and evenings
at North and South Campus. These classes repeat themselves four
(4) times a year. |
