The course is required for all North Carolina
teachers, and most counties’ Substitute teaching
staff. Lecture-discussions, multi-sensory activities
and classroom management skills focus the course
content. This course is also recommended for
teaching assistants and child-care workers.
This 30-hour course is required for anyone wishing to
substitute teach in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties and Kannapolis
City Schools. Certification is valid in all 100 NC counties.
