SOC 100 - Concepts in Sociology
This course examines the basic concepts of sociology from the perspective of the individual as a member of society. Topics include an understanding of society, culture, collective behavior, community life, social institutions, social change, and the effect of
social life on human behavior. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate

This course covers the institution of the family and other intimate relationships. Emphasis is placed on mate selection, gender roles, sexuality, communication, power and conflict, parenthood, diverse lifestyles, divorce and remarriage, and economic issues.
