General Information:
During your first class session, a short Hybrid Course Orientation will be provided.
During the session students will:
Complete an Online Orientation
Cover the course Syllabus
Review the Blackboard portion of the course
Students are asked not to bring children on campus since the college cannot assume responsibility for unattended children. RCCC is committed to providing an environment conducive to learning, and children may disrupt the learning environment when they are brought into the classroom or left unattended.
In the event you need to be contacted while on campus because of an emergency situation, you may be reached by calling the weekend attendant at 704-637-0760 or 704-788-3197 In addition to leaving this phone number with someone needing to reach you in the event of an emergency, please also leave with this person the name of the event and the room number where you can be reached.
Individual Course Orientations and Meetings:
Students are required to attend the individual course orientation. However, if it is impossible for the student to attend this orientation due to unavoidable circumstances such as sickness, death in family, etc., an alternate date will be provided. This alternate date will be determined by the individual Hybrid course instructors and will be scheduled on a particular day/evening in the week following this initial orientation. Each student unable to attend this initial orientation will be responsible for contacting his or her instructor to make arrangements for the alternate orientation. THOSE STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND THE FIRST OR ALTERNATE ORIENTATION WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DROPPED FROM THE HYBRID COURSE.
Students will not be given access to the Internet portion of their Hybrid course until they have attended an orientation.
Attendance at each on-campus class is required (see the Semester Hybrid Course Schedule for dates/times). Attendance requirements will be discussed during the orientation/first class meeting.
