arrow Courses Available Online:
Scheduled Internet classes are listed on the college web site (http://www.rowancabarrus.edu/) by clicking on the "Schedule of Courses" link, then click on the appropriate semester link, and then clicking on Internet classes.

arrow Questions About Internet Courses:
diamond If a student has questions about a particular Internet course, he/she should contact the course instructor. If no instructor is listed in the semester master schedule, he/she should contact the program head for that area.
diamond Enrollment in each Internet class is limited to a specific number of students, given that there is one instructor per course (like in on-campus courses) and the tremendous amount of course communication per student that occurs. The capacity of each course varies, determined by the instructor and course structure. Most courses, however, have a capacity of 25 students. If a student has a question about the capacity of a course, he/she should contact their advisor or Student Services.

arrow Questions About Textbooks, Testing, and Grades:
diamond Each instructor determines where testing for his/her course takes place (online or in a campus testing center).
diamond Some courses use textbooks, others do not. If a student has questions about textbook requirements, he/she should contact the course instructor. The student can also check with the bookstore to see if a textbook has been specified for the course.
diamond NOTE: Students may purchase textbooks on campus, reserve textbooks for pickup on campus (online credit card payment required), or have textbooks shipped to them. For the details about these and other options, students should review the information posted under "Textbooks" at http://rowancabarrus.edu/bookstore/ (the RCCC Bookstore web site).
diamond At the end of each semester the student will be mailed a Final Grade Report (final letter grade of all courses in which the student was registered that semester).

arrow Begin Dates/End Dates:
diamond All Internet courses begin when the semester begins and all Internet courses end likewise. Students will have to meet assignment and testing deadlines set by each individual instructor. If a student has questions about these matters, he/she should contact the course instructor.

arrow Requirements:
diamond Requirements are listed on the Internet Course web page within the Distance Education web site.  This information is available at registration (in-office and general).

arrow Registering for Internet Courses:
diamond The registration process for Internet courses is the same as traditional on-campus courses.  Students register for courses during specific registration periods each semester.

diamond Visit http://www.rowancabarrus.edu/registration/ for college registration information.
diamond Visit http://www.rowancabarrus.edu/schedule/ for college schedule information.

arrow Online Orientation and Accessing Courses:
diamond RCCC provides an Orientation for Online Learning for new Internet students each semester.   The orientation is presented in the same format as an Internet course and is provided through Blackboard, RCCC's Internet course management software.

As a first-time Internet student, you will be required to complete the Online Orientation before you will be allowed access to your Internet course(s).

Internet courses follow the regular semester schedule.  Students are expected to access their course on the first day of the semester to receive instructions and begin their coursework.  Courses are not self-paced.
