arrow Orientation for New RCCC Internet Students
 

Attention New Internet Students:

RCCC provides an Orientation for Online Learning for new Internet students each semester.   The orientation is presented in the same format as an Internet course and is provided through Blackboard, RCCC's Internet course management software. Instructions for logging into the orientation are provided below. The Fall 2008 Semester Orientation for Online Learning will be available beginning at noon on Monday, August 11, 2008

Students who are new to Internet courses at RCCC MUST complete the Orientation prior to gaining access to their internet-based course.

arrow To complete orientation:
1. Login to Blackboard.

Find the Orientation course listed in the My courses section in the center of My Blackboard Page.

3. Click on the course and follow instructions to complete. Be sure to complete the entire course. You will be asked to submit a form to verify completion at the end of the course.
Once Orientation is complete you will have access to your class on the first day of the semester. If you complete orientation after the beginning of the semester please allow 24-48 hours to access your course.
   
arrow Orientation for Returning Blackboard or Internet Students :
  The information provided in the Online Orientation will be available to you through your course within the Course Information section (Getting Started) and within Course Documents (Student Agreement).  Students who have completed Internet courses at RCCC previously are encouraged to review the Orientation content for important instructions and helpful information.
   
arrow Course Access :
 

Internet courses follow the regular semester schedule.  Students are expected to access their course on the first day of the semester to receive instructions and begin their coursework.  Courses are not self-paced. If you have not accessed your Internet course(s) by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 you will be administratively withdrawn from your Internet course(s).
