See below for important information and instructions regarding the information sessions, class meetings, and broadcast schedules.

arrow General Information:
  diamond During your first class meeting, a short Information Session will be provided.
  diamond A 15-minute orientation video will be shown during the mandatory first class meeting.  If it is impossible for the student to attend the first class meeting due to unavoidable circumstances such as sickness, death in family, etc., the student is responsible for contacting the instructor.  THOSE STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND THE FIRST CLASS MEETING AND DO NOT MEET WITH THE INSTRUCTOR DURING THE FOLLOWING WEEK WILL BE DROPPED IMMEDIATELY.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!
  diamond During the information session students will:
   
square Complete a Student Information Card
square Receive DVD sets
square Become familiar with the Support Services at RCCC
square Receive instructions and course materials
  diamond Reminder - this meeting is mandatory. It is your first class meeting and will be used for conducting lecture, distributing course materials, etc. 
  diamond TeleWeb Courses:
In addition to the Information Session conducted in your first class meeting, all students registered in a TeleWeb course MUST complete an online orientation prior to gaining access to the Internet portion of their TeleWeb course.  Go to http://www.rowancabarrus.edu/distance/internet_orientation.html for detailed instructions.
     
arrow Individual Class Meetings:
  diamond Attendance at each Saturday class is required (see the Semester Schedule for Saturday locations/dates/times). If a student misses one class and does not make contact with the instructor, the student will be dropped. 
  diamond Students are asked not to bring children on campus since the college cannot assume responsibility for unattended children. RCCC is committed to providing an environment conducive to learning, and children may disrupt the learning environment when they are brought into the classroom or left unattended.
  diamond In the event you need to be contacted while on campus because of an emergency situation, you may be reached by calling the weekend attendant at 704-637-0760, or 704-788-3197,   In addition to leaving this phone number with someone needing to reach you in the event of an emergency, please also leave with this person the name of the event and the room number where you can be reached.
     
arrow Telecourse Broadcasts :
  diamond If needed, VHS tapes can be checked out at the North or South Campus LRC. 
  diamond If needed, Videotapes of Telecourses may be rented from RMI MEDIA PRODUCTIONS (http://www.rmimedia.com/) for a one semester period. For pricing information, please contact RMI Media Productions.  For student convenience, return instructions, package and labels are provided for the student.
