For almost 50 years, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College has opened doors and enhanced the lives of thousands of people in Rowan and Cabarrus counties. RCCC is a comprehensive, community-based institution of higher learning. RCCC offers associate-degree programs in more than 40 areas of study, including arts and sciences, business, information technology, health and human services, and engineering technologies. RCCC also offers diploma and certificate programs focused on career training, continuing education and basic skills education. RCCC provides a strong foundation for students transferring to four-year colleges and universities and helps adults get the additional training they need to move into new careers. RCCC is an economic engine and the primary source of workforce development for the two-county region. The college provides specialized programs for a broad range of clients, including small business owners and larger employers needing specific, high-skill training for their employees. RCCC’s presence in the two counties helps with economic development efforts and the recruitment of new industry and employers. While RCCC prides itself on delivering programs and services students and clients can afford, to maintain its current level of excellence, the college requires financial support beyond state and local public funding.
