Vance Fishback is the principal of the Cabarrus-Kannapolis Early College.  Fishback is a resident of Kannapolis and has worked in both the Kannapolis City and Cabarrus County School systems.  Prior to being named principal of the Early College, he has served as an assistant principal at Mt. Pleasant High and Mooresville Middle.  He began his teaching career as a Business Education teacher at A. L. Brown high school.
