The ICLC strictly prohibits game playing, downloading of AOL, Yahoo, MSN Chat, and visiting sites or receiving documents with sexually offensive material that violates student procedure 7.25 and/or employee procedure 1.10 of the RCCC Procedures Manual. No children are allowed in the computer lab. Also prohibited is the attaching of any hardware devices or software on the ICLC equipment for the purpose of copying software.
Students are not provided with software for home use. If needed, students, faculty, and staff may check with the RCCC Bookstore. Enrolled students, faculty, and staff are required to bring floppy diskettes to the ICLC to save their data and make backups. All diskettes should be labeled with the student's course prefix, number, and section number with the instructor's name and the student's name to identify diskettes that may be placed in the ICLC Lost and Found.
Students are expected to follow the same guidelines in the ICLC’s as in the academic classrooms for cell phone use. The cell phone should be on vibrate and the student should go into the hallway or other appropriate location to use the cell phone. |
