RCCC’s 8-Week ‘Mini-Semester’
Starts in October
 

            SALISBURY, N.C. — Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s 8-week “mini-semester” begins Oct. 18. The 8-week semester gives students the opportunity to earn full course credits in a condensed period of time.


            The mini-semester course offerings include:

    1. North Carolina business taxes;
    2. Accounting software applications;
    3. Business law;
    4. Principles of management;
    5. Survey of economics;
    6. AC circuit analysis;
    7. Nail manicure technology;
    8. Routing basics;
    9. Introduction to political science;
    10. Real estate broker pre-licensing;
    11. Windows single user;
    12. Linux/UNIX administration; and
    13. Internet/web fundamentals.

            Mini-semester classes meet one, two or three times a week, with morning, afternoon and evening sessions. Credit hours range from two to six.             RCCC will hold mini-semester registration on Oct. 16, from 9-10 a.m., and 5-6 p.m., in the north and south campus Student Services office. RCCC’s north campus is located at I-85 and Jake Alexander Blvd., in Salisbury. The south campus is at 1531Trinity Church Rd., just off I-85 at exit 55, in Concord.             RCCC offers day and evening classes, internet classes, college classes for high school students, and tuition-free classes for persons 65 and older. RCCC trains and educates students for jobs available now and in the future, like those in biotechnology. Students wanting to pursue a four-year degree can take the first two years of college at RCCC, close to home and at an affordable price. RCCC also offers GED and basic skills programs and English-as-a-second-language classes.
