RCCC Announces Upcoming 'BioWork' Class |
||||||
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) is accepting students for an upcoming class of the "BioWork" biotechnology course. The class begins Feb. 4 and meets until May 26, on Mondays and Wednesday, from 8 a.m. until noon. RCCC encourages interested adults to contact the college as soon as possible to pre-register and schedule a career readiness assessment. Both are required to take the BioWork course. The course registration fee is $65. BioWork is a 132-hour introductory course bringing together the basics of manufacturing technology and the fundamentals of science. BioWork gives students a broad overview of the biotechnology industry. The BioWork course includes the following topics or modules:
Students must have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer literacy
and go through a career readiness assessment. |
