CONCORD, N.C. — Small business owners looking for help with QuickBooks Pro® 2007 are invited to take a course offered by the Small Business Center (SBC) at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. The SBC will offer "QuickBooks and Your Business: Level 1" Monday and Wednesday evenings, May 21 through June 4, from 6 to 9 p.m., at RCCC's Cabarrus Business & Technology Center in Concord, room 9253. Tuition is $55, with the textbook and other materials costing approximately $25. The course will start with an introduction to QuickBooks Pro 2007, including the accounting principles it uses. From there, students will cover working with customers, vendor transactions, and creating inventory, payroll and banking accounts. Tony Phillips, a certified public accountant with 20 year of professional experience, will serve as instructor. He has a master's degree in accounting and is certified as a QuickBooks Pro advisor. The RCCC Cabarrus Business & Technology Center is located at 660 Concord Parkway North. The Small Business Center at RCCC is a community-based provider of education, training, counseling, information and referral, assisting entrepreneurs with business ideas and existing small business ventures.
