RCCC Offering Microsoft Word, Excel Classes

 

             CONCORD, N.C.— The Customized Training and Development Office of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is offering Microsoft Word® and Microsoft Excel® classes for beginning, intermediate and advance users.

              Classes are offered July through October, lasting one to two weeks, and will meet at either RCCC's Cabarrus Business & Technology Center or South Campus. The class schedule includes the following.

             MS Word 2003 Basic

    • 8 a.m. to noon, July 2 and 9 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 1-5 p.m., July 2 and 9 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 4-8 p.m., July 3 and 10 at RCCC's South Campus
    • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug. 9 and 16 at RCCC's South Campus

             MS Word 2003 Intermediate

    • 8 a.m. to noon, July 23 and 30 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 1-5 p.m., July 23 and 30 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 4-8 p.m., July 17 and 24 at South Campus
    • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug. 23 and 30 at South Campus

             MS Word 2003 Advance

    • 8 a.m. to noon, Aug. 6 and 13 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 1-5 p.m., Aug. 6 and 13 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 4-8 p.m., July 31 and Aug. 7 at South Campus
    • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sept. 6 and 13 at South Campus

             MS Excel 2003 Basic

    • 4-8 p.m., Aug. 28 and Sept. 4 at South Campus

             MS Excel 2003 Advanced

    • 8 a.m. to noon, Sept. 17 and 24 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 1-5 p.m., Sept. 17 and 24 at Cabarrus Business & Technology Center
    • 4-8 p.m., Sept 11 and 18 at South Campus
    • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 18 and 25 at South Campus

             The classes are open to adult learners. Seating is limited, and advanced registration is required. Class fees range from $50 to $55, plus a text/materials fee. Call 704-216-3598 for more details.

              The Cabarrus Business & Technology Center is located at 660 Concord Parkway North, in Concord. RCCC's South Campus is at 1531 Trinity Church Rd., near I-85 and N.C. 73, at exit 55.

              RCCC's Customized Training and Development Office, part of the college's Continuing Education Department, provides on-site quality and process improvement training for large manufacturing operations and small business environments. Offerings include lean thinking, six sigma, statistical process control, process improvement and more. The customized training is client driven. Course content, schedule, methodology and location are based on the client's needs and preferences.
