RCCC Offers Seminar
For Child Daycare Directors

 

          SALISBURY, N.C. — Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is registering participants for a seminar approved by the N.C. Division of Child Development for directors of child development centers and daycare centers.

           RCCC will offer the seminar, "Tools to Becoming an Effective Leader," Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon, North Campus building 600, room 637. The registration fee is $40.

           Participants will earn three hours of state-approved in-service training credit. To register, call RCCC's Continuing Education Department at 704-216-3512.

           Those attending the seminar will:

  bullet Role play best practices in various management situations;
 
  bullet Compare the differences between a leader and a manager;
 
  bullet Receive research-based information on the most effective management styles for the child care settings;
 
  bullet Be inspired to encourage their teachers and maximize their own potential; and
 
  bullet Conduct personal evaluations to learn their strengths and weaknesses.

          Africa McComb from the AM Professional Development Firm will serve as the seminar leader. RCCC's North Campus is located at I-85 and Jake Alexander Blvd., in Salisbury.
