RCCC Nursing Students Score Well
On State Licensure Exam

 

          SALISBURY, N.C. — The spring 2008 graduates of the associate degree nursing program at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College recently achieved a 100-percent passing rate on the North Carolina licensure examination for registered nurses.

          The associate degree nursing program graduated 26 students last May, and each of them took and passed the state exam.

         Following is a list of the 2008 RCCC associate degree nursing graduates. The graduates and nursing preceptors from throughout the community were honored at a special program in April.

           RCCC's associate degree nursing program provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care to clients and groups of clients throughout the lifespan in a variety of settings. Courses will include content related to the nurse's role as provider of nursing care, as manager of care, as member of the discipline of nursing, and as a member of the interdisciplinary team.  Employment opportunities include hospitals, long term care facilities, clinics, physicians' offices, industry, and community agencies.
