RCCC Announces Woodson Scholarship Recipients

 

          SALISBURY, N.C. — Nineteen Rowan-Cabarrus Community College students have received Margaret C. Woodson Foundation Scholarships. The students were introduced at the Oct. 27 RCCC Board of Trustees meeting.

          Established in 2002, the scholarship program is supported with annual contributions from the Margaret C. Woodson Foundation Inc. The recipients must be full-time students and reside in Rowan or Davie counties.

          The scholarships cover tuition, books, fees and other related expenses for the 2008-2009 school year up to $2,500.
          The 2008-09 Margaret C. Woodson Foundation Scholarships recipients are:

  • Janie Aldrich of East Spencer;
  • Virginia Blackwell of Salisbury;
  • Aaron Cameron of Salisbury;
  • Jason Camp of Salisbury;
  • Bradley Chesnut of Landis;
  • Felicia Furr of Landis;
  • Jason Hill of Rockwell;
  • Sandra Hill of Gold Hill;
  • Heather Joubert of Salisbury;
  • Amira Karat of Salisbury;
  • Jennifer Lanier of Salisbury;
  • Rebecca Laughter of Salisbury;
  • Teresa Pittman of Kannapolis;
  • Jeremy Proctor of China Grove;
  • Tara Sigmon of Faith;
  • Charlotte Steele of Salisbury;
  • Bianca Summers of Salisbury;
  • Katie Swisher of Salisbury; and
