Timothy Shay Elected Student Government President

 

              SALISBURY, N.C. — Timothy Quinn Shay of Salisbury has been elected president of the Student Government Association at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. His 2009-10 term will begin July 1.

               Shay is a computer programming student at RCCC. He is known for being an effective, practical and sympathetic leader.
The Student Government Association (SGA) held campus-wide elections April 28 and 29, during its annual Spring Fling celebration. More than 1,400 RCCC students participated in the event.

               Other newly elected members of the incoming SGA Board are Kimberly Reavis (Salisbury), secretary/treasurer; Lyndsey McGonagle (Concord), public information officer; Jonathan Furnas (Spencer), parliamentarian; and Karen Isenhour (Rockwell), membership officer.
