RCCC Students Attend Phi Beta Lambda Conference |

SALISBURY, N.C. — Three students and one instructor/advisor from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College attended the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) National Leadership Conference, held in late June, in Anaheim, Calif. Some 1,776 PBL members, advisors and professional division members attended the Anaheim conference, making it the largest PBL delegation in history. Most of the 50 United States were represented at the conference. North Carolina had 80 members in attendance, representing 16 local chapters, including RCCC and Pfeiffer University. Delegates heard motivation speakers, attended leadership workshops, elected national officers and participated in competitive events following their state-level wins in April. Phi Beta Lambda Inc., is a non-profit student business organization, with nearly a quarter million members and advisors, in 12,000 chartered college and high school chapters worldwide. PBL's mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. The association is headquartered in Reston, Va. RCCC offers a number of business programs, including business administration, accounting, economics, finance and marketing and retail, office systems technology and medical office administration.
