RCCC Offering Project Management Courses |

SALISBURY, N.C. — The Office of Corporate & Professional Development at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will offer two project management courses beginning in August and September. RCCC will offer the "Fundamentals of Project Management" course 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, Aug. 5 through Oct. 7, at RCCC's Cabarrus Business & Technology Center. The course fee is $745, plus a $70 textbook. The 40-hour fundamentals course is designed to introduce students to the project management profession through a step-by-step, detailed approach. Students will learn how to use project management tools and techniques effectively and manage projects successfully. The course also will prepare students to sit for the Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) exam administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). RCCC will offer the "Project Management Professionals Examination Prep" course 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturdays, Sept. 19 through Oct. 3 and Oct. 17, at RCCC's South Campus. The course fee is $900, plus a $75 textbook. The 40-hour PMP exam prep course is for project managers who are seeking PMP certification through the PMI and have satisfied requirements to sit for the exam. Project managers who take the course will learn exam techniques, a review of areas in the project management body of knowledge, and requirements to take the exam. RCCC's South Campus is located at 1531Trinity Church Rd., just off N.C. 73 and I-85 at exit 55, in Concord. The Cabarrus Business & Technology Center is at 660 Concord Parkway North, in Concord. RCCC's Corporate and Professional Development Office, part of the college's Continuing Education Department, provides on-site quality and process improvement training for large manufacturing operations and small business environments. Offerings include Lean, Six Sigma Yellow, Green and Black Belt, ISO, project management and more. The customized training is client driven. Course content, schedule, methodology and location are based on the client's needs and preferences.
