SALISBURY, N.C. — Elana Miles of Landis, N.C., is the new Student Government Association (SGA) President at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Miles was introduced at today's RCCC Board of Trustees meeting. As SGA president, Miles is an ex officio member of the board. A graduate of Salisbury High School, Miles is an adult student at RCCC, coming to the college after working as a certified nursing assistant, a truck driver and in retail positions for several years. She is a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Miles is a computer information technology student and on track to graduate in May 2010. She was greeted warmly by the trustees. |
