RCCC Offering Classes
On Latest Versions of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

 

                CONCORD, N.C. — The Office of Corporate and Professional Development at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is offering basic, intermediate and advanced courses in the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

                 The classes will meet twice over two weeks, in January, February March or April at RCCC's Cabarrus Business & Technology Center, in Concord.

                 These classes are aimed at adults who need to enhance their computer software skills for career development. The schedule includes day and evening sessions to provide flexibility for adults who work or are conducting job searches.


                The course schedule includes:

MS Word 2003 Basic

  • 8 a.m. to noon on Jan. 13 and 20
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Word 2007 Basic

  • 8 a.m. to noon on March 24 and 31
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Word 2003 Intermediate

  • 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 3 and 10
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Word 2007 Intermediate

  • 8 a.m. to noon on April 7 and 14
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Word 2003 Advanced

  • 6 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 16 and 23
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Word 2007 Advanced

  • 8 a.m. to noon on April 21 and 28
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Excel 2003 Basic

  • 8 a.m. to noon on Jan. 13 and 20
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Excel 2007 Basic

  • 1 to 5 p.m. on March 24 and 31
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Excel 2003 Intermediate

  • 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 3 and 10
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Excel 2007 Intermediate

  • 1 to 5 p.m. on April 7 and 14

MS Excel 2003 Advanced

  • 6 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 18 and 25
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Excel 2007 Advanced

  • 6 to 10 p.m. on April 21 and 28
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS PowerPoint 2003 Basic

  • 1 to 5 p.m. on Feb. 24 and March 3
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS PowerPoint 2003 Intermediate

  • 1 to 5 p.m. on March 10 and 17
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Access 2003 Basic

  • 1 to 5 p.m. on Feb. 24 and March 3
  • $65 course fee plus $25 textbook and materials

MS Access 2003 Intermediate

                The classes are open to adult learners. Seating is limited, and advanced registration is required. Call 704-216-3598 for more details. RCCC's Cabarrus Business & Technology Center is located at 660 Concord Parkway North, in Concord.

                 RCCC's Corporate and Professional Development Office, part of the college's Continuing Education Department, provides on-site quality and process improvement training for large manufacturing operations and small business environments. Offerings include Lean, Six Sigma Yellow, Green and Black Belt, ISO, project management, customer service training, human resources management, and green business practices and sustainability. The customized training is client driven. Course content, schedule, methodology and location are based on the client's needs and preferences.
