General Occupational Technology A.A.S. (A55280):

The General Occupational Technology (GOT) curriculum program is intended to meet the needs of individual students or groups of students who require programs other than those offered through the structure of the college’s approved curricula.  This program provides individuals with the opportunity to upgrade their skills and to earn an associate degree by taking courses suited for their occupational interests and /or needs.

The curriculum content will be individualized for students according to their occupational intersts and needs. For the student seeking an associate degree, a program of study will be slected from associate degree-level courses offered by the college and MUST be approved by the appropriate program head, dean, and Director of the Occupational Technology program.

Graduates will become effective workers, better qualified for advancement within their field of employment, and/or become qualified for a wide range of entry-level employment opportunities.

 
To enroll in this program, individuals must complete the following steps:
bullet fill out an application to RCCC; (see Admissions website)
bullet schedule to take the Placement Tests, including the Basic Computer Competency Test;
bullet
and make an appointment with the appropriate dean as listed above to develop an individualized program of study
General Occupational Technology Diploma (D55280):

Students interested in entering a limited enrollment program (Radiography, Nursing, or Dental Assisting) at RCCC are admitted to the diploma program for General Occupational Technology while they are actively working to meet program admission requirements. Students will work directly with their program advisors regarding specific requirements.
