Hello Everyone and Welcome
to the 2009-2010 academic year!

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to RCCC!

Elana MilesI am Elana Miles and I will be your Student Government Association President this year. I am excited about serving the RCCC students and I hope you all will continue to be supportive of our SGA, as you have proven to be in the past. What a year we are going to have! I say “we” because I can’t do anything without the help of you, my fellow students. I have several goals this year but the one most important to me is that I will be able to help you, the student become more involved in our student activities. If I can succeed at this, I know that we will all have a productive, enriching year here at Rowan-Cabarrus. Please feel free to stop in and get to know your SGA officers this year. We have offices on both North and South campuses. I look forward to meeting you this year. Once again, Welcome!

Check out the SGA calendar for a list of events and informative student meetings.

There is more to life than books and classes at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.  What goes on outside the classroom is also very important. The school offers a wide variety of social and cultural opportunities which, as well as being enjoyable, expand the learning experience. Students are encouraged to plan their own activities and programs through the Student Government Association and may use any of the excellent facilities for assembly, theatre, club meetings, relaxation, and recreation.

All students at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College are members of the Student Government Association (SGA) and have the chance to participate in the organization and control of student activities. In addition, membership in the SGA gives students the opportunity to learn responsible citizenship and gain practical experience in the democratic process.

The constitution and activities of the SGA are subject to the approval of the administration of the college.
