The RCCC Reading Center (RC)
is a free reading skill development lab designed to assist RCCC
students with reading skill development and overcoming reading
related deficiencies. Individualized
instruction as well as small group instruction is provided in the
areas of phonics, vocabulary building, word attach skills, reference
skills, and comprehension.
Computer-assisted instruction is also available in the Reading
Center. All
RCCC students enrolled basic reading classes (RED 080) will be strongly encouraged
to participate in skill development activities in the Reading Center. Instructor
referrals and student "walk-ins"
are welcome. |

The Reading Center operates as a reading lab and
students are referred by their reading instructors for appointments. Appointments
are scheduled by the Reading Center Coordinator, Claudia Swicegood. |
